I have thick hair which sometimes appears dry?

how do i make it look less volumnious if i want to leave it lose

I have thick hair which sometimes appears dry?

well avoid over blow drying for a start and avoid any excessive heat on it, use a very good conditioner or a treatment oil, to get it back into good condition

your diet as well can play a part in this

I have thick hair which sometimes appears dry?

ugh! i have that same exact problem! i hate it. my hair is super long and super wavy. i use mousse, gel %26amp; hairspray. it looks really pretty, but it gets hard from the spray. good luck.

I have thick hair which sometimes appears dry?

Try frizz-ease, works great! If you use too much it might look a little greasy, a couple pumps should do. Also Dove makes a great one that doesn't make you greasy at all.

I have thick hair which sometimes appears dry?

Have you ever had your hair thinned out with layers etc this could help other to that you need a product to weigh your hair down such as gel or wax product and smooth it out with a serum perhaps, i would be tempted to smoother your hair in olive oil and leave on for a good few hours best time is if your having a soak in the bath the steam will soak it in your hair - this might help with the dryness

I have thick hair which sometimes appears dry?

I have thick, semi-wavy hair. I was always tired of it looking poofy. So, I learned a little trick that seems to be working better. I first got long layers and they razored the ends to make it look more natural. Plus, don't wash it as often. Believe it or not, the less you wash, the better it looks. I wash my hair every other day and it looks better. Plus, try flat ironing it in small pieces. It works well for me!

I have thick hair which sometimes appears dry?

layer your hair a lot and use wax.

have you thought of rebonding your hair?

I have thick hair which sometimes appears dry?

i say buy shampoo and conditioner that is for making ur hair silky str8 it will condition ur hair without adding volumnizing products that make it bulky. pull ur hair back in a tight pony tail and braid the pony spray light oil sheen on ur hair and let it air dry then use a ceramic flate iron to easily and quickly str8ten ur hair. no blow dryers and run the flate iron threw ur hair dont let it sit on it. or get a curling iron wit the plastic comb or brush looking things all around it and use the to comb and brush ur hair str8. just enough heat to tame the hair without buning it dry. and it will be light and bouncy. and deep condition it too

I have wavy, frizzy & thick hair.R there some kind of hair softeners available, thats helps d hair

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

I have wavy, frizzy %26amp; thick hair.R there some kind of hair softeners available, thats helps d hair to feel soft.

you should deep condition your hair every 2-3 weeks the conditioner will make your hair softer and more managable and also healthier. use a clarifying shampoo every 2 weeks so it can clean your hair from all the chemicles. this will definatly work also you may want to start buying pantene shampo and conditioner it makes my hair really soft

I have wavy, frizzy %26amp; thick hair.R there some kind of hair softeners available, thats helps d hair to feel soft.

Olive oil treatments work wonders! Buy some extra virgin olive oil if you don't have some already and massage it throughout your hair. Leave it on for as long as you can stand (I usually leave mine in for half hour or forty-five minutes) then wash ONCE with regular shampoo and condition as usual. You'll smell extra virgin while it's on your head, but the smell rinses out with the shampoo. It works wonders for my hair and it's way cheaper than softening shampoos that often have olive oil as an ingredient anyways.

The thing is since it's summer a lot of us woman have trouble keeping our hair intact.I would suggest using a serum for frizzy hair and to use BioSilk products it keeps the hair very soft.Plus, when your finish washing and conditionning your hair don't put a towel over your hair.It could cause dryness and frizzies.Good luck!!!

I have long and thick hair but i am losing my hair. how can i control hair falling?

i am suffing with ostreomylitis. so i used anti biotic 2 years continuesly. recently its means 1 month before my doctor stoped my medicines.

I have long and thick hair but i am losing my hair. how can i control hair falling?

I am a licensed cosmetologist. I sell a product at my salon called NIOXIN. It is a hair regrowth system. I have seen wonderful results with this cleansing and treatment system. It is on the pricey side but you have to think of where your priorities lie, if you want to keep your hair, $30 for the system that will last you 90 days is not a big deal. Call around to local salons and see if they carry the product. If you want to know more about it go to www.nioxin.com. you will not be sorry. let us know how it goes and good luck

thick hair will seem and feel even thicker when u cut it, trust me.

Let it grow and it will then give u lots of options of hairdo's more than the shorter one plus it is not going to appear as thick when longer.

How can I have abundant thick hair? What to use?

uhm...well mane and tail might be good if u want thick hair...but really..there is no shampoo that will make your hair THICKER...maybe volumized...but not thicker...im sure there is some...but i bet it costs a bunch. just get some volumixing shampoo and conditioner...and when youre done use volumizing mousse...and rub it through your hair....

Princess Bun:

1. part hair on your right side

2. take an one inch section from the right side of the part and begin twisting it

3. pull the twist to the back of your head and hold it at the nape of your neck

4. gather your hair into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck, including the twist and secure with an elastic

5. take an 1/2 inch section of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic securing with pins underneath the tail

6. take an 1/4 inch section of hair from the end, wrap it around the elastic

7. secure it with pins underneath the elastic.

and viola! cute hairstyle!

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

some one tolled me that

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

Yeah is can it pulls and puts stain on your head . I used to have to get me hair below my ear thinned .

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

yes

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

Yep- that's why Chrystal Gayle cut hers off

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

I have long, thick hair, and I don't have any problems unless I pull it back into a ponytail or other style really tight.

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

definitely

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

i don't so

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

Never had a problem with it unless someone pulls it.

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

no it cannot

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

i would actually like to know the answer of that one, i only have headaches when i have long hair. but when i have short hair my head gets cold easy and i get cold headaches .. !

//edit:apparently this is a girly question, for the record i am straight

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

Er no. Bald people get headaches!

If you have long hair, don't tie it back tight.

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

Yes with out a doubt. I am Native American and my grandma used to make me keep my hair LONG we are talking to the back of my knees. I had headaches..very senstive scalp....someone could look at my head wrong and it would hurt. I chopped it when I got older and it felt better.... now I just keep it halfway down my back...seems to be okay

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

Usually, long and thick hair is just difficult to brush and style :p , but those with extremely thick hair may begin getting headaches when the weight of the hair weighs down on the head and neck.

A friend of mine had such thick hair she could never grow it longer than shoulder length without repercussions. Fortunately, I just have the irritating, hard-to-manage, terribly fluffy long and thick hair...*rolls her eyes*

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

Actually yes. I have it and sometimes it is so heavy I get a headache. But, it usually only happens when I put my hair up. If you get a headache that you think is from your hair, put your hair down.

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

indirecectly it can

it can cause head aches by when you brush or comb ur hair u sometimes have to comb hard and that can give a slight head ache sometimes but more often when ur swimming or washing ur hair the weight of the water pulling ur hair down can give u a headache. especially if ur not used to it because u just got ur hair chemically straitened for the first time like i did. the first time i went swimming after that woah. i felt like someone was pulling my head by my hair litterallyi got dizzy and had to get out of the pool. oww just thinking back to that makes my head hurt

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

no and 4 everybody who said yes they have something wrong with them,that's dum {i have long hair so i get head aces}

listen to yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can long thick hair cause head aches?

yes my friend has hair down to her butt and its thick and LONG and it gives her headaches all the time!!

Is thin hair or thick hair better??

THICK Hair is ALWAYS better ! ! !

Is thin hair or thick hair better??

thick.........bcuz wen u grow up u would still have most of ur hair

Is thin hair or thick hair better??

They both have their ups and downs. Thin hair is easy to manage but I don't think it looks all that pretty. It's so.... thin. Lol, but thick hair is waaay harder to manage but its a lot prettier.

Is thin hair or thick hair better??

thin and short is easy to take care of and manage and thick hair is hard to manage.. if you have thick hair you should get layers

I'm 18 & male with very thick hair. I want long & thin hair. Wot can I do? Also wot hai

Why do you want thin hair? It sounds like you have awesome hair already. Don't grow it long if it's not straight. Short thick hair on a guy ROCKS!!!!!!

Thick hair can be very unruly when left untamed. Although you may think it's a nightmare there are many ways to get your locks looking luscious and the envy of all your friends.

The natural colour of your hair will also determine its texture:

閳?If you're a redhead you are likely to have the thickest type of hair

閳?Next come the brunettes

閳?Blondes tend to have the finest hair.

A good hair cut can be the answer to many thick hair problems, either by having it thinned out by your hair dresser or getting a good layer cut.

Conditioning is important as it will help make the hair look sleeker and give you greater style control.

Blow drying your hair downwards will encourage the cuticles (the outer layer of hair) to lie flat and reflect the light. The result is a new sleeker you

Should I not get kinky twists? My hair is thick and I want the twists to be long?

to the point where I can wear them down, and also be able to put them in a long ponytail (atleast about a 7-inch pony) Since my hair is thick, would the twists look too bulky? (Will there be alot of them)

Should I not get kinky twists? My hair is thick and I want the twists to be long?

if your hair is thick, it will take a LONG time to do, and there will be alot, but it will still be cute!!! Go for it. Twists are suppose to look bulky.

Should I not get kinky twists? My hair is thick and I want the twists to be long?

you could have random little kinks all around your hairline (below jaw looks best). make the kinks as thin as possible

and you will look fabUlous!

Does long layered hair with bangs work well with rough, thick hair?

If it doesn't how can I get long bangs?

Does long layered hair with bangs work well with rough, thick hair?

you can always add extensions....but i think the layered look will work

Does long layered hair with bangs work well with rough, thick hair?

i dont know, because that's what I have. I personally like it, but it gets frizzy very easily, soooooooooooooooooooooooooo i'll say yes

Does long layered hair with bangs work well with rough, thick hair?

if you want straight hair then try relaxing it then put bangs because I dont think it would look nice if you have rough and thick hair. It might look messy. But you can try tough

I have thick hair and sometimes it doesn't look right in a ponytail what should i do?

I have thick hair and I always feel like it looks ridiculous in a pony tail because it's all tight near the rubber band and than is gets big. :) I like to twist my hair into a knot or bun instead (kinda like your avatar), or a french twist. Sometimes I pull back just the front layers with a barrette. You might also consider going a little shorter, with layers. You can ask your stylist to thin it out for you, but what I've found is that everytime I do that...it grows back thicker than before. Ugh.

I understand your frustration...believe me!!

I have thick hair and sometimes it doesn't look right in a ponytail what should i do?

Don't put it in a pony tail anymore....DUHHH!!!!

I have thick hair and sometimes it doesn't look right in a ponytail what should i do?

layering and thinning helps

I have thick hair and sometimes it doesn't look right in a ponytail what should i do?

Try wearing the pony tail low, or braid the pony tail, or gather your hair in the back and braid it. You can also, twist your hair in the back of your head and use a hair clip underneath, makes your hair look like a waterfall.

I dont like ponytails either, my hair is like yours.

I have thick hair and sometimes it doesn't look right in a ponytail what should i do?

well you can get your hair cut to shoulder legnth and then layer and angle it. i did that to my hair and if i put it in a pony it looks prettier then it did before.

I have thick hair and sometimes it doesn't look right in a ponytail what should i do?

Like that dude said, layer it and thin it. Thats what i did today :]

I have thick hair and sometimes it doesn't look right in a ponytail what should i do?

don't put it into a ponytail!

cut it short--bob it! :D

short hair looks good, especially when thick...

I have thick hair and sometimes it doesn't look right in a ponytail what should i do?

Take a bit of gel - rub it between your palms, and use your hands to put your hair in a ponytail - starting from your head (you may not want to put it on the ends) Then use your elastic to tie it around to make a ponytail. Your hair should be in complete place and no flyaways around the crown of your head. You can use a little bit more of gel to tame any stray aways. Use a curling iron to curl the ends. A pony tail that looks clean with no strays always looks classy and is always in style :) Good luck! I included the Pantene Pro V gel link - that product works really good.

I have thick hair and sometimes it doesn't look right in a ponytail what should i do?

I have super thick hair too so I understand your dilemma. Try blowdrying your hair as straight as possible the night before. Then straighten it with a ceramic straightening iron before you put it in the pony tail and if it's fuzzy then try putting a smoothing lotion on it. I use BedHead After Party. You can buy it in hair salons. Just used a small amount, no more than dime size although I use smaller than that. It lasts a very long time.

I have thick hair and sometimes it doesn't look right in a ponytail what should i do?

You should leave it down %26amp; if u don't like it then try to do it in a half pony tail and try to do it cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I HAVE DRY CURLY THICK HAIR.SHOULD I GO FOR HAIR straightening?

WILL IT SUIT MY BROAD BODY FRAME.

I HAVE DRY CURLY THICK HAIR.SHOULD I GO FOR HAIR straightening?

You could try it, but there are so many products out there designed to moisturize and style thick, coarse, curly hair that I don't see why you have to do that.

I HAVE DRY CURLY THICK HAIR.SHOULD I GO FOR HAIR straightening?

No, don't straighten your hair! I think curly hair looks very nice.

I HAVE DRY CURLY THICK HAIR.SHOULD I GO FOR HAIR straightening?

Dont go for permanante chemical straightning, because if you dont like it, you will stuck with it till it grows out, and it will make your hair extremley dry. Take a day to straighten your hair (such as a Saturday). Pin up your hair in 'sections'. Straighten one sections, then continue to the next. Hope you have fun!

I HAVE DRY CURLY THICK HAIR.SHOULD I GO FOR HAIR straightening?

You should if you really hate it. You can get a perm at a hair salon or the plave you get your hair cut. Try it out for a reasonable amount of time. Try leave-in conditioner and straightening styles/shampoos. If you don't like the perm will go away, eventually.

I HAVE DRY CURLY THICK HAIR.SHOULD I GO FOR HAIR straightening?

It may look too unnatural but try it and see who knows.

I HAVE DRY CURLY THICK HAIR.SHOULD I GO FOR HAIR straightening?

YES...I recommend JAPANESE HAIR STRAIGHTENING. It is expensive, but with your type of hair it will be 100% worth it.

I HAVE DRY CURLY THICK HAIR.SHOULD I GO FOR HAIR straightening?

Try buying the book Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey %26amp; Deborah Chiel. I just got it and it has great advice for people with curl hair. Don't fight your curls - embrace them! I highly suggest buying that book - you will learn a lot about your hair!

K i have thick hair and i want to grow it out if i get it thinned out this weekend would it help?

K i have thick hair and i want to grow it out if i get it thinned out this weekend would it help?

No.

K i have thick hair and i want to grow it out if i get it thinned out this weekend would it help?

No, you should consider the Japaense Hair Straightening system, its costs about 150 to a grand. Depends on where you go and what kind you get.

%26lt; 3KIERSTY

K i have thick hair and i want to grow it out if i get it thinned out this weekend would it help?

Thinning your hair will not make it grow out any faster. It will however take out the bulk of thick hair.

K i have thick hair and i want to grow it out if i get it thinned out this weekend would it help?

yes thinned it out grow more and look good.

K i have thick hair and i want to grow it out if i get it thinned out this weekend would it help?

..and it will also leave you with more straggling flyaways as the thinned bits grow out again. If anything i would expect it to make it worse.

Its probably not what you want to hear but if it was me i would keep my thick hair and just let it grow naturally. Then find a gorgeous cut thats textured and plays on its fullness to accentuate it rather than fight it.

K i have thick hair and i want to grow it out if i get it thinned out this weekend would it help?

Well depending on if this is the condition of your hair in it's natural state or if it is the direct result of some sort of hair trauma caused by heat/chemicals.

If this is virgin hair{meaning; never been permed, dyed or even blow dryed .} then, chances of really keeping you hair straight after showering are quite slim. The natual hair shaft itself is cruled and this will remain untill the hair becomes old. Old and fall out or old and turn gray.

I have really thick hair..and i was wondering what would be the best flat iron to use..?

Help to straighten curly, thick, wavy, and frizzy hair?!?

My hair is VERY VERY VERY poofy and frizzy and I want it straight. I used herbal essences straight finishing spray and it works alright, but my hair remains thick. As if It doesn't sit down and stands up. to help, when i finish straightening, i tie my hair back in a bun and it sorta helps. does anyone have ANY advice to give me or shampoos to use cuz i am ttly lost.

Thanks!! %26lt;33

Help to straighten curly, thick, wavy, and frizzy hair?!?

I have the exact same hair. After trying to straighten it like I see a lot of girls do, I realized it wasn't working for me because my hair is so much thicker than theirs. It would take hours and hours to get every layer.

The best thing to do is stop fighting your natural hair. You will never win. I brush mine out in the shower when it is wet, because brushing it while dry will make it poof out (it takes the curl out). After patting it dry (but still damp), liberally coat your hair with a leave-in conditioner or moisturizer. I use a creme-based one (Pantene and Loreal have extensive "restorative" and "dry and damaged" products), because I have found the silicone gel-based ones are too sticky. Don't rinse it out (some say you only leave it in for 3 mins, but ignore that). If you have time, let it air dry, but if not, use a hair dryer with a diffuser attachment. It will stay down, retain the curl, and not poof. This makes your hair appear just curly and soft and not frizzy.

I hope this helps. If you try this, you might have to try different products before you find one you really like. Good luck.

Help to straighten curly, thick, wavy, and frizzy hair?!?

Your hair will always be thick no matter what you use, sorry that is how it is. My hair is exactly like that to! But if you blow dry it then straighten it, it will get as straight as it can! Good luck! :))

Help to straighten curly, thick, wavy, and frizzy hair?!?

The Chi flat irons and the products that go with them are awesome! I have the same thick, frizz problem and the Chi has worked wonders.

Help to straighten curly, thick, wavy, and frizzy hair?!?

Im not sure it there are any Sally's Beauty stores in your area, but they have this spritz called ION Anti-frizz Straight Solutions Heat Protection http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1210/302...

This is what I use on my frizz hair and its a wonder!!

Help to straighten curly, thick, wavy, and frizzy hair?!?

well the more you strenghten, the more damaged it becomes, you need to put a coat of protection on your hair, something like biosilk or some smoothing cream. blow dry with a diffuser to make it less poofy and smoother. your hair will always be thick, there is not really anything you can do to make thinner. i hope this helps!

Hey Guys, thick, red, frizzy hair, how to cut it and maintain it!?

Humidity is my enemy. My hair is thick and frizzy and red. I can't get a fringe because it will go like a verandah and I can't get it layered because it wouldn't work and no haridresser is game to go at it. Yes, it is complicated and I wear my hair in a bun thing which I hate but Im self conscious of wearing it in a ponytail. I've used honey to un-frizz it but it just attracted bees so yeah, help is appreciated thanks in advance

Peace

Hey Guys, thick, red, frizzy hair, how to cut it and maintain it!?

There is a good product by bed head (it's in purple round bottle with a pump). It works to control frizzy hair. (I get it at Pure Beauty)

Also using mousse helps. I have frizzy red hair also and if I put some type of product in it and use a difuser for a little bit then it stops it from going all crazy cavewomanish.

Good luck.

Hey Guys, thick, red, frizzy hair, how to cut it and maintain it!?

I have thick red curly hair. Using the right shampoo and conditioner--herbal essences-- first to get some moisture. I've had my hair layered and I think it looks good. The best thing for hair like ours is keeping it long. Short doesn't work.

Hey Guys, thick, red, frizzy hair, how to cut it and maintain it!?

cutt it all off, I love women with real short hair, then you want have to mess with it. Dont worry you will kill them with it!!

Hey Guys, thick, red, frizzy hair, how to cut it and maintain it!?

Shave it all. Buzz cut.

Hey Guys, thick, red, frizzy hair, how to cut it and maintain it!?

Perhaps you can consider a buzz cut.

Hey Guys, thick, red, frizzy hair, how to cut it and maintain it!?

Keep it long... let it grow... and then cut it in LONG layers (not too many).

As for the frizz, wear a shower cap every time u shower. Most of the frizz comes from the humidity in the shower. Use a leave in conditioner. I personally like Garnier Fructis. And also use an anti-frizz serum. John Freida's frizz ease serum is excellent. They have a whole line of products for frizzy hair from Shampoos to Conditioners. And they recently also have special shampoos for certain hair colors.

Hey Guys, thick, red, frizzy hair, how to cut it and maintain it!?

Cutting your hair seems to be the best solution to your problem. Many women have clipped their hair short to be hassle free from these kinda problems. Can you handle a short short cut?

Thick, coarse hair can sometimes be a symptom of a thyroid problem. I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

Hot oil masks for your hair, that should soften your hair, but the main thing is never forget to condition, condition, condition.

thanks

I want to buy a good hair straightener. I don't know which one to buy. I have thick hair and nearly straight

GHD's Are The Best Hair Straightners That Are Out. But They Are Quite Pricey Between 鎷?0 - 鎷?20's. So Start Saving Up :D

I want to buy a good hair straightener. I don't know which one to buy. I have thick hair and nearly straight

Go for a ceramic. Those are the best for your hair, and they do the best job. Ceramics usually cost around $80, but it's well worth the money. The best brand, in my opinion, is Chi.

I want to buy a good hair straightener. I don't know which one to buy. I have thick hair and nearly straight

if you have thick hair then dont use a hair straighner. I have thick hair to. It will burn your hair a little. especially if have a lot of grease in it.

I want to buy a good hair straightener. I don't know which one to buy. I have thick hair and nearly straight

Get a flat iron. That will work better than any topical product and gives you the "celebrity" straight look. You can get a good one for about $80.00. Really good ones are around $150, but I got one at Wilshire Sterling Beauty Supply and it works just fine. The cheap ones are not really worth it.

I want to buy a good hair straightener. I don't know which one to buy. I have thick hair and nearly straight

how about revlon, they have black ones or white ones, and they are cheap too, they work well, you can get them at walmart, k-mart....for about $20.00...

after that just buy some bio silk, put it in your hair and it will feel nice and soft.

its better than buying those super expensive ones that are like 80 dollars maybe 100,...because they could break easily.

I want to buy a good hair straightener. I don't know which one to buy. I have thick hair and nearly straight

the best is the Chi

I want to buy a good hair straightener. I don't know which one to buy. I have thick hair and nearly straight

CHI is the best... they also make blowdryers if it takes forever to dry your hair. It doesn't pull your hair like most straighteners. Cost is from $99-140. Try the closest hair salon. Most do carry chi and use them in their stores.

I'm Just Like You! I have thick frizzy and curly hair.

I would totally reccomend Conair's Straightner.

It's not that expensive, maybe 40-55 dollars to blow, but it LASTS A LONG TIME. I had mine for about 3 years and It never bailed out on me. Even if it says 2 year warranity.

It gets hot really easy and it has a little comb that combs you hair while straightening it to.

Here is the straightner I use,

http://www.conair.com/instant-heatcerami...

I really reccommend it, But I don't reccomend the GHD, I heard they don't last long, are expensive, and blow up.

Anyways, I'm really reccomending you to use it!

Plus, look how expensive the others are. And this one works way good and is cheaper.

I want to buy a good hair straightener. I don't know which one to buy. I have thick hair and nearly straight

Deffanitly go for ceramic. I have the CHI and I have VERY thick hair, it works amazingly. $60 from target. 閳?br>I want to buy a good hair straightener. I don't know which one to buy. I have thick hair and nearly straight

I had a revlon and it worked ok for me. Truly the more expensive it is, the better quality you get. I recently bought a Sedu flat iron and it works great. I would also suggest the CHI and Solia.

This website has a ton on flat irons with reviews: http://www.folica.com/flat_irons.htm

I have thick hair is a 1" flat iron ok for my hair?

its fine.. i hav thick hair and a 1" as well. but when your doing your hair you hav to do it in very small bits. clip up all the outside and do the under layer first.

Bed Head or Conair.

go to http://www.folica.com

you can look at some straighteners on that website, read reviews, and see before and after picturess!!!

(:

Whats the best hair straightener for thick hair?

Leave the straighteners alone 'cause their chemical properties are very, extremely harsh!

Instead, apply a blow-drying solution (for protection against heat) to your hair and blow-dry it using a paddle-brush for smoothing and straightening!

Whats the best hair straightener for thick hair?

A Chi for sure!

Hope it helps %26lt;33

chi is the best on the market hope this helped from a cosmetologist

Whats the best hair straightener for thick hair?

i am going through the same problem- looking for the best hair straightener for my thick hair. i was at target and i saw a good hair straightener. the brand was Bed Head and when you use it and you want it to be just the wright temp, there are these lights on it that are green or yellow. yellow means it's warmish are green means it's hot. it's great for thick hair. it's high quality so the price is a little high. the price 69.99+ tax. Well i wish you good luck with your hair!

Whats the best hair straightener for thick hair?

buy a chi.

Whats the best hair straightener for thick hair?

me i have thick hair so what i do is go to a beauty salon so they can put a perm in it so it can straighting and let them treat it so it can last longer without me worrier about my hair being so thick u might want to try that and see if that works for u.

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

Getting it chemically fixed is completly out of the question along with most salon products.

I have thick hair. VERY thick hair. Also extremly poofy and curly. Straightening doesnt work at all. It looks alright I guess when its down but when I put it up into a ponytail it looks HORRIBLE! I have to have it in a ponytail as a rule at my gymnastics center. I am currently using herbal essences danerously straight shampoo and none of your frizziness conditioner. Sometimes I use pantene smooth and sleek. I have tried frizzease products and they help a little but not much. my hair got layered because I thought it may help the poofiness but it didnt get better and now it looks like the hair is 2 lengths and not blended at all.

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

AHHH I HAVE THE SAMME PROBLEM!!!!!

i have reallly poofy hair.. i do gymnastics and i used to have three of my teammates help me get it into a PONYTAIL! its rediculous. i got it cut and layered and it diddnt help AT ALL! it was still humongous!!

i was so close to just shaving all of my hair off, you have no idea.

then one say i decided to pull out my straightener. i sed it once and it was stiull poofy. but i diddnt want it puufy so i just ran it over one of my 4 sections of hair, and it was so much flatter! it was amazing. i'll try to get pics.

then i straightened it in 4 sections, and it was so thin and pretty and soft! i couldnt stop touching it.

THENNNNNN i decided to stop straightening it so much and to just use hairspray.

O.M.G.

it works amazingly. it put shine and testure into my curls yet leaves them so thin and pretty! im so happy everytime i look into the mirror.

plus.. i use it when my hair is in a ponytail too!

i use this AMAZING stuff called NEXXUS COMB THRU.

seriously, use it!

i can go for three days without doing anything but keeping it in a ponytail and it still looks perfectly sculpted! PLUSSSSS

it dosent tangle hair!

i reccommend it.

oh, and DONT cut your hair short! hwne its short, it dosent have as much ewight, which makes it poof more! i get 2 inches cut once a year. plus, long hair is in!

hope i helped!

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

mines kinda like that , so i blow dry it, n it helps so much, it also looks naturally straight

=)

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight shampoo did nothing for me. So I bought a Chi straightner and that did the trick! As for your layering problem I would just say to maybe let the layers grow themselves out, so you won't have layers anymore.

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

i had your same exact problem.

next time you go to get a hair cut, ask them to thin it out.

they use special scissors to thin out your hair and it really works and doesnt look bad.

[:

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

damn if i were you id just shave my head. you might have to do like some black women do and use that greasy stuff, you'll be shiny but your hair wont be all over the place. also my g/f has somewhat crazy hair if she doesnt blow dry it after a shower, she is always avoiding getting her hair wet because it goeas everywhere, i think its cute but she hates it, i dont think hers is as bad as your describing yours but it cant hurt, she like blowdrys it and uses a straightener as she blowdrys it. its a pain in the frikkin asss if you ask me takes like 20 minutes.

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

i completely understand. i have poofy thick hair too and i know how frustrating it can get to manage.

try investing in a chi hair straightener, and to buy products, buy them straight from the salon because those tend to be professional and i find they work best.

try not to use shampoo too much, condition daily. instead of layers, try getting your hair thinned out.

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

You need a good hair dresser, many layers, and a great conditioner and flat iron. Good luck!

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

Thick hair can be quite heavy making it challenging to deal with. It completely conceals the scalp when hair is wet and dry. It can be unruly, often having too much body.

Thick or very thick strands can be tamed with an expert cut, layered or blunt, that helps builds in shape and eliminates bulk. Hair worn longer will help compress some of the mass and gentle relaxing treatments will add bend and movement.

There are endless combinations of hair texture, density, type and color that result in hair that is completely different. Fine hair can be thin, medium or thick in density. It can be straight, curly, wavy or a combination. Additional variables from environment to heredity to the type of chemical products you use can also alter the type of hair you have on your hair.

Perpetually good hair days can become the rule rather the exception when you get to know your hair and understand its own unique profile

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

wow that sucks really bad

uhhhhhhh i really dont no

go back 2 the hair cut place and ask them 2 blend it better and try 2 do something else than a ponytail do it in like down braids or something like that since it looks good down and u only have 2 wear it up 4 gymnastics then u will look good mostly the whole day right?? lol hoped i helped

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

i hav the same exact hair!!! so i no how u feel. don't use anything else but CATWALK shampoo 4 curly hair. (my hair is VERY curly!!!) then if u want 2 tame ur hair 1st put catwalk curls rock! booster 5 (it's blue same color as shampoo) this will define ur curls. n then 2 make it not as poofy = put into ur hair dove moose. ur hair should look gorgious!! n then trying it up like this should be no problem either!! cuz it will look fine!!! n don't ever cut ur hair with layers ever again!! it

makes it puffier!!!

hope i helped!!

unless u want sraight hair (which u shouldn't becuz ppl pay fortunes 4 our natural beautiful curly hair) u should get it japanese straigtened.

oh yeah! n u should grow ur hair long it's better n looks better!!!

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

I have very poufy and extremely thick hair! I know exactly what you are going through; you should try John Frieda Straghtening serum!

Best of Luck

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

Ouch, hate that for you. Hair is very important to women and I know what it is like to have hair you feel you can't control. My suggestion to you would be to get a chemical relaxer. It is a cream-like product that chemically changes the texture of your hair. You will still have some curl, but it will also allow you to blow dry it straight pretty easily.

You can have it done professionally for the first time, but if money is an issue, you can buy it at Sally's or Walmart, etc. My suggestion would be the Revlon brand. I'd use either Mild or Regular strength.

Be careful!!! Read the directions and get someone to help you. After the first time, you only need to touch up your new growth (roots) every 8-12 weeks.

And as far as the layers... layers add volume to hair, so that is why it is more poofy. The relaxer will help calm that, but best bet is to grow them out.

Good luck! =)

I need major hair help! THICK AND BUSHY!!?

I have long curly hair....

I use Garnier Fructis Shampoo and Conditioner for dry and damaged hair. Leave the conditioner in your hair for about 5 mins (while in shower).

Then use Biolage (Matrix hair products) Gelee. Use it on wet hair, comb through to distribute evenly, then diffuse or air dry.

If I did not use this my hair will look like a brillo pad. Hahaa

Good Luck!

GHDs are definitely the best ones to get. If you have a search on google or ebay you might be able to get them a bit cheaper but otherwise they are about 鎷?20 on the GHD site.

I never had thick hair and now after childbirth, my hair are falling a lot, wat shud i do to minimis

There are good shampoos like Nioxin and Rogaine you can use. At least you know the hair loss after giving birth is temporary and it will stop and your hair will regrow. Some woman lose alot of hair, some barely any.

Besides making lifestyle changes, taking the following supplements every day is recommended to boost your hair growth:

Vitamin B-complex - 50 mg. of the major B-vitamins (including folate, biotin and inositol)

Vitamin B-6 - 50 mg. of vitamin B-6

Vitamin C with bioflavonoids - one to two grams daily Vitamin E - 400 to 800 IU daily

Beta-Carotene - 10,000 to 15,000 IU of beta-carotene daily

One recommended daily dose of magnesium, sulfur, zinc

Flaxseed oil - one tbsp daily or one tablet

Beta-Carotene - 10,000 to 15,000 IU of beta-carotene daily

Everyone's hair falls out daily. Don't think crazy glue is going to fix things. If it's falling out continuously, you may have developed Alopecia Areata, which means you are "allergic" to your hair and it will continue to fall out. Talk to your doctor, you may get a generous donation from Locks of Love.

if your stressing out a lot then you should find out a way to counteract that stress.

If I was you I wouldn't be alarmed. Usually after giving birth women will loose hair, but the good news it will grow back..remember you just went thru 9mos of hormones changes. give it time. In the meantime just take good care of your hair, shampoo and condition, you may want to get a nice trim and a hairstyle that you can manage. Something easy because, you don't have much time with a new baby in the home.

I have thick hair and whenever i strighten it, its not as flat as i want it to be ..... whats wrong

Use a clothing iron.

I have thick hair and whenever i strighten it, its not as flat as i want it to be ..... whats wrong ?

get a flat iron that gets around really hot around 410 and make small section in ur hair have a comb and comb and follow with the flat iron :)

And u dont ahve too much hair if u have small sections and a hot enough flat iron it will get flat I have thick full hair and it works on me and all my clients

I have thick hair and whenever i strighten it, its not as flat as i want it to be ..... whats wrong ?

you have too much hair, thats what! lol

i have answered the question of how to make hair flatter lots of times so just look at my answers

I have thick hair and whenever i strighten it, its not as flat as i want it to be ..... whats wrong ?

try a straigtening spray and spray on before you straighten hair. also straighten your hair in layers

I have thick hair and whenever i strighten it, its not as flat as i want it to be ..... whats wrong ?

You might just want to get a different straightener because the hotter the straightener, the straighter the hair. I would also recommend a straightener that has ceramic plates so your hair doesn't get fried.

I have thick hair and whenever i strighten it, its not as flat as i want it to be ..... whats wrong ?

Get a remington "wet to straight" iron. its at walmart and walgreens for about 30 bucks it works great. My friend has tight spiral curls and it flatens her hair like pin straight. so try it.

I have thick hair and whenever i strighten it, its not as flat as i want it to be ..... whats wrong ?

You might want to get a better quality straightener and maybe some cream but don't too hot because you could damage your hair

Also:

~When your straightening your hair do it in small section and go over it more than once. Take your time because if you rush it it will not be as straight.

~Buy a straightening conditioner and they also make straighteners for thick hair.

I have thick hair and whenever i strighten it, its not as flat as i want it to be ..... whats wrong ?

Try to hold it in one place longer...............

I have thick hair and whenever i strighten it, its not as flat as i want it to be ..... whats wrong ?

i have very thick hair myself and i straighten it. what you do is you get a good high power straightener like this one http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=... and you seperate your hair into layers and straighten small strips at a time. it will probably take about 1 to 1 1/2 hours when first get used to it but after a while u will get the hang of it and it should go by alot faster.

Oval face, thick hair, straight: what haircut?

I'm thinking long layers, side fringe, shoulder lengh.

Do you think that will look okay? can you think of something that will look better???

Oval face, thick hair, straight: what haircut?

HI i am a hairdresser by trade, if you have a small forehead no fringe but if not then a sweeping fringe sounds great, why not funk it up a little keep long and add short layers and heaps of them so you can mess it up.

Oval face, thick hair, straight: what haircut?

Long layers at the back and the side fringe is a nice touch, would suit you perfectly

Oval face, thick hair, straight: what haircut?

the longer your hair is, the longer your face will look.

the straighter the hair is, the longer your face will look also.

try maybe shoulder length with choppy layers maybe a fringe if you like it and not too straight.

maybe some flicks and kinks.

good luck

if you really are a fashion designer, the fashion is just on you.if it looks ok or better or perfect then go 4 it.

Oval face, thick hair, straight: what haircut?

I have poofy wavy thick hair.?

any good hairstyles? maybe with steps on how to do it and pictures? ten points to best answer

I have poofy wavy thick hair.?

I do too :( Its like the worst hair to have. I usually tie it back in a ponytail or straighten it.

Thick Hair Tips!?

I'm guessing your hair is wavy and thick? Sounds like my hair! Well I say love your thick hair cause there are plenty of people longing for it! I know it can be a pain sometimes, but love it while you got it. Messy buns look cute with thick hair, if your looking for updos and so does leaving it down and wavy. Hope I helped and good luck!

Thick Hair Tips!?

buy shampoo for thick hair and you can get it thinned by a stylest

Thick Hair Tips!?

Here's what you do, because I have that type of hair. Get some Garnier Fructis Wet Shine gel, and after you wash your hair put some of that in there. You hair will be curly and wavy. Then you can wear it out, or some up and some down, however you want it. And usually gel doesn't work when I try to do that, but the gel I mentioned is great. Or you can straighten it and spray some holding spray on it. Whatever is good for you.

Thick Hair Tips!?

Hi!!! I've got just about the exact same hair!!! Take advantage of it... People would kill to have thick hair!!! I used to absolutely HATE my hair when I was younger, and my mom would always tell me how lucky I was!! It's true!! Since you have thick hair, go with any of the "BIG" Hair - Hairstyles!!! Right now, I'm really into the half up-do Poof, and then curling the rest of my hair using hot rollers!! It looks really cute for an everyday hairstyle, and it's easy. Experiment with your hair, and try having it done often at a Salon/Spa for ideas!!! Hope I've helped!!!

~Chandra

Thick Hair Tips!?

don't get it thinned cause they just cut pieces off and then it looks funny when it grows back. if you get it layered it will be less heavy for you to have to hold up. other than that be grateful you have thick hair. people like my mother would kill for this beautiful hair!

Thick Hair Tips!?

scrunch it with mousse or gel. Blow dry with a diffuser. Get it cut in long layers.

I have thick hair if i get a perm will it get thicker?

No and it may not take a perm real well.

I have thick hair if i get a perm will it get thicker?

it might get poofy

I have thick hair if i get a perm will it get thicker?

yeah.

what the othter person saidd.

I have thick hair if i get a perm will it get thicker?

Absolutely not. I have natural afro hair, but I always get a perm every month and a half or so. It makes my hair so much easier to deal with, it's super manageable. You should definately try it, you'll love it.

I have thick hair if i get a perm will it get thicker?

no it should make it more tame. but it also depends what type of perm you use. if anything it will make it appear thinner

I have thick hair if i get a perm will it get thicker?

I don't think that you should get a perm. i ahve thick hair and i got a perm and it messed up my hair

I have thick hair if i get a perm will it get thicker?

not thicker just wavy which depending on your hair might help or could be problem. get a good stylist to check your hair first

I have thick hair if i get a perm will it get thicker?

no not at all. but due to perm it may appear thick.

I have thick hair if i get a perm will it get thicker?

no, i think perms and straightening your hair actually make it appear thinner.

I have thick hair if i get a perm will it get thicker?

well it will for sure look thicker because the curls will sit on eachother and stick out more... ya know what mean. and any hair will hold a perm... thick or fine .... as long as it i done the right way. and there are different perms for different hair types. but if you already have thick hair and dont want it thicker.... than you shouldnt get a perm because it WILL make it look thinker.

To get shiny/glossy hair:

Boil two cups of water with the peel of one orange (finely chopped)

Blend the liquid in a blender on low until it forms a sauce and add 1 teaspoon of Olive Oil and 1 tablespoon of apple-cider vinegar.

Add 1/2 ripe avocado peeled and mashed.

Blend for two minutes until totally smooth.

Apply to damp hair; leave in for 20 minutes. Then rinse shampoo and conditioner.

To thicken your hair you should try the shampoo Tail and Mane. I've used it and it works wonders. This is simple but it will increase the shine in your hair. Finish blow drying your hair on the cool setting to add shine

Make sure you are taking a vitamin with biotin and folic acid. Health food stores carry specific vitamins for hair, too. Avalon Organics is a great, natural line of cosmetics and hair care.

Good luck!

How to reduce hair fall and have a thick hair?i want to have a shiny hair please suggest natural remedies.?

The best way to have reduced hair fall is to make the hair roots strong. In order to do that you need a healthy and balanced diet. You should drink milk that has vitamins like calcium and vitamin A and D. These vitamins make hair strong. Applying oil to hair every week for a night by wrapping in towel helps the scull replenish moistures (make sure you wash oil off thoroughly).

Shiny hair come with the healthy life style of eating well and treating hair right. Try 2 eggs + one tea spoon lemon and apply to hair. Leave it in for several hours and wash well. Yes it will smell but lemon will reduce the smell. Then only wash your hair with conditioner. The next morning you may shampoo and condition as normal.

Best shampoo that worked for my dry, thick hair was ThermaSilk (http://www.thermasilkhair.com/) products- the heat activated shampoo and conditioner. This helps restore hair from sun damage or if you use hair dryer or hair straighter a lot. They also have a detangler that makes it easy to comb hair and less damage due to pulling.

Hope this helps.

I have long thick hair and i cant find a way to curl my hair?

I need a new look?

I have long thick hair and i cant find a way to curl my hair?

You might just take smaller sections of your hair to curl. I might also suggest that putting a little spray on each area before curling it will also make it stay in place. My hair is very hard to hold a curl and that works great for me. I would say aqua net is cheap but it really works

I have long thick hair and i cant find a way to curl my hair?

lol i have thick hair too and it takes me a long time to curl my hair but i just use one of those small curlers and take small bundles of hair and when i curl it, i hold the iron in for one and a half minutes...it takes a while but it looks REALLY good =]

I have long thick hair and i cant find a way to curl my hair?

I use to have the same problem. I guess my question for you is what kind of curling iron are you using? I realized, after going through so many curling irons that my hair simply was not curling because the quality of the curling irons that I was using were not good.

I later invested in a ceramic hair straightener that I spent approximately $80 on and it works wonder.

But wait, you must be thinking, "I want to curl my hair not straighten it." Well, the whole point of me telling you this is because you can basically curl hair with any good quality hair straightener. It took me a month or so to get the technique down, but it is definitely worth it! The "secret" is because the hair straightener that I use gets REALLY hot, so it keeps my hair straight/curled for much much longer.

Hope that helps!

if u'r hair is dark and u want it to go platinum blonde all of a sudden, then you should do it gradually, like bleach it again the next day, and choose a good brand too. Best thing to do is do it in a salon do guarantee the quality.

perm the hair, tease the roots, use volume shampoo and serum. but remember all the women in the pictures have extensions. so if your hair is really thin then you're talking impossibility.

I have thick hair and use mouse/hair spray on my hair -- the itching is driving me crazy. How can I

The itching has been going on for a while now and it's driving me crazy. I'm too my last resort and that is to go to the doctor's to get some help. It itches alot when I am in the shower. I know that I don't have lice because I've been to the beauty salon and I have everyone check my head. Any suggestions and I don't know what the doctor is going to check for. Is it below my scalp? Is it a fungus? Could it just be dry scalp? I'm going to try a conditioner to see if that will ease the relief. Sometimes I feel it's going to my ears and neck because they start to itch as well. Thanks

I have thick hair and use mouse/hair spray on my hair -- the itching is driving me crazy. How can I stop it?

I don't really have thick hair, I just have a lot of it. Sometimes I have the same issues. You could be using too much product, or it could be the climate right now. I've found that despite using Nexxus Therappe and Biolage conditioner, I have to use Head %26amp; Shoulders Dry Scalp Care shampoo a few times a week too. That's about the only thing that helps for me.

Good luck.

You are having an allergic reaction (sensitivity) wash it out m'dear!

Try using a chamomile rinse to ease that itching-- try to avoid whatever new hair products you might be using now.

I have thick hair and use mouse/hair spray on my hair -- the itching is driving me crazy. How can I stop it?

Try Scalpicin shampoo. It is for itching. Then change your regular shampoo, conditioner, mouse, hair spray. Try to find a hypoallergenic one at the drug store.

I have thick hair and use mouse/hair spray on my hair -- the itching is driving me crazy. How can I stop it?

You might just have a very dry scalp. Can you take some time off from using the mousse and hair spray? Wash your hair with a very mild shampoo and use a moisturizing conditioner. Put most of it on the ends, but rub a small amount into your scalp.

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

I had a friend before that had that same problem. Her hairdresser would specifically thin her hair with special scissors to reduce the thickness. It really made a huge difference and made her hair more manageable. So perhaps find a hairdresser that does this, I am sure it's just about the same as getting a regular haircut. Doing it yourself could risk not getting the right balance all around.

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

I love my curly hair!

Use thinning shears/scissors. They are specially made scissors you can get at a beauty/barber supply store or order from Froogle.

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

you can weight it down with a leave in conditioner. big full hair is sexy though.

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

If you don't want to have it thinned out( by a hair dresser cutting out layers) you can use shampoos that are designed to defrizz and tons of leave in stuff that work great. My favorites are frizz ease, pantene sleek and shine, and aussie. They are really light weight and don't give you the greazy look. Also after you put the product in, use a flat iron ( hair straightener, like a curling iron, but it's two flat pieces together) this will give you the silky look that you see on tv. Make sure it's completely dry first or it'll kink back up.

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

Go to the hair dresser and let them do.

They'll thin it out.

It'll look better and feel lighter.

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

You could try a hair straightener, I have one that my best friend gave me and it is great, it has ceramic plates which I think are the best. My hair is natuarally quite thick and the straigtener smoothes it out perfectly!

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

you could try gel, hairspray, leave in conditioner, or ask your hair stylist to thin your hair the next time you get your hair cut.

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

You can have your hair thinned at a salon but, this is not going to get rid of the poof it will enhance your curls, and waves. The best answer would be to get layers to reduce the bulk of it but it also will enhance your curl. However you won't have a poof.

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

wash it in the night - then comb in a cream and comb it into a bun and let it dry...it will be shiny and wavy when you wake up

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

i've heard that blowdrying it helps. but thats also damaging to your hair...

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

Thinning %26lt;the use of thinning shears further up the hair shaft than just texturing the ends%26gt; will only make your hair "bigger". I suggest a "japanese thermal straightening" treatment to change the "texture" of your curl pattern. It will make your hair lay smooth for the sleek styles that are popular right now. It will save you all the time it costs you with straightening irons etc. The process takes a long time and can be costly. The maintenance is about the same as a perm would be... some people get perms every three months, some people once or twice a year. It really depends on how fast your hair grows and how curly your new growth appears when its growing in. It is OK to tell the technician who performs the procedure that you do not necessarily want perfectly straight hair... just less poofy. Please don't make the mistake of thinking thinning your hair with thinning shears will make it look less poofy. The shorter hairs hold out the longer hairs and it will actually make it look worse... unless you have the time to flat iron it every day.

I have really thick hair, with big waves and curls, how could I thin my hair so its less poofy?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!! My hair is really short about shoulder length, and tight ringlets. Its sooooooooo thick and unbearable. When i get out of the shower it looks great but throughout the day it gets poofy...i plan to get it thinned but i'm hearing some bad stuff. Should i get it thinned, its unbearable?

How can you make your hair grow thick and long?

My hair used to be long and thick. I cut it, and it's been falling a lot. People say to apply oil, and some people say not to. I'm confused

How can you make your hair grow thick and long?

As mentioned, try to eat foods with protein. Protein somehow helps strenghten hair. Vitamin E also helps induce hair growth. This vitamin helps with cell reproduction, which helps get rid of old, dead skin cells. It might not seem like it matters, but with newer skin cells, your hair grows better.

A natural way to get your protein and vitamin E at the same time is to eat peanut butter. Don't become obsessed with it, but peanuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, hazlenuts and soybeans.

How can you make your hair grow thick and long?

Wash it in egg whites (I know...it sounds really gross.) once every two weeks. The protein from the egg helps hair follicles to strenthen and rejuvenates the shine from damaged hair. Just be sure to wash it out completely!! lol

How can you make your hair grow thick and long?

If you get it regularly trimmed that will def. help it grow. Also brushing and massaging the scalp help the process too. I have naturally thick hair but it never seemed to grow. Try taking some vitamins (pre natal) they help with hair and nail growth.

also i've heard your hair texture/color changes every 7 years, which i believe to be true up until i was 7 or 8 i had strawberry blonde hair with banana curls and then developed more into a wavy redish brown

How can you make your hair grow thick and long?

eat food with alot of protein. It will make you hair longer plus healthier and stronger. And getting it trimmed every 6 weeks or so will help it grow faster.

How can you make your hair grow thick and long?

everyones hair is different so oil doesnt work for everyone. Just shampoo and condition your hair EVERY day and also try some leave-in conditioner. -and DONT USE CHEAP PRODUCTS

Poofy/Thick hair remedy's? I straighten it but it ends up huge and poofy.Any tips!!?

Try spraying each section with hairspray lightly before straightening with a flat iron, that should help keep the frizz down.

Poofy/Thick hair remedy's? I straighten it but it ends up huge and poofy.Any tips!!?

Heyy! Okay, as a fellow poofy-hair girl, here's what to do.

Tie up the top half of your hair in a bun. Straighten the bottom half, using a brush and hairspray to keep it straight. The humidity may be threatening the straightness, but hairspray will help. If you don't have hairspray... well, just straighten it.

Then do the top section of hair.

To prevent your hair from getting puffy and out of control, don't leave all of it down. Tie or clip back part of it or do a braid or something. Leaving it all down will get in your face and it is more likely to get all curly again.

Good luck!

Poofy/Thick hair remedy's? I straighten it but it ends up huge and poofy.Any tips!!?

try straightening it in layers. like tie it all up like you are putting your hair in a pony tail and take down small chunks of hair and straighten that. it will take a little longer, but it really works and it wont friz in heat. i have thick, frizzy, and curly hair and my hair looks perfectly straight and thin when i do it that way.

Poofy/Thick hair remedy's? I straighten it but it ends up huge and poofy.Any tips!!?

Try washing your hair in as cold water as you can stand, and asfar as straightening, try taking small, even sections, on a medium to low heat and going over it several times. this will reduce heat damage and make hair look sleeker. or you could put it in a messy bun at the bottom of your neck..i do this often in summer. best of luck!

Poofy/Thick hair remedy's? I straighten it but it ends up huge and poofy.Any tips!!?

ok... first wash your hair, after towel dry it half way only then let your hair air dry after it will straighten out own and finally use a hair straightener after each spray strand of hair with hair spray.

Hair straighteners under 35$?That work good on thick hair!PLEEZ ANSWER!!!?

Thanks alot everyone!! i really appreciate it

Hair straighteners under 35$?That work good on thick hair!PLEEZ ANSWER!!!?

I have hair down to mid shoulder, very thick, and very curly hair and I use a revlon straightener. I believe its made of copper not sure. I love it! It cost about $30 at walmart. It works best to divide my hair and do it in sections but my hair goes from frizzy to fanastic in less than an hour. By the way, it takes a lot of time to straighten your hair. I dont use any product for the most part. I just make sure to condition it well and it doesnt really damage my hair. Good luck!

Hair straighteners under 35$?That work good on thick hair!PLEEZ ANSWER!!!?

I tried absolutely everything over the years, and I'm sorry to tell you that the only really satisfying results were from thermal reconditioning (sometimes called Japanese hair straightening). It's expensive, but lasts (you get it redone when enough new hair has grown in to be worth it), and it's truly a wash-and-go solution.

Short of that, blow dry it carefully and then use an electric hair iron (flat plate). Of course, you have to do that everytime your hair gets wet, and it takes time.

Hair straighteners under 35$?That work good on thick hair!PLEEZ ANSWER!!!?

try conair... they work but usually dont straighten too well anymore after 6 mo. to a yr. so you need to replace it.

well sweetie hate to say but your not going to buy a flat iron for that price for thick hair without damaging your hair the cheaper the flat iron the worst damage. the best flat iron to buy is a chi which is awesome for thick hair. i have natural curly very long hair. the chi flat iron are about $100.00 but you can go to e-bay and find a chi at a every low price brand new. good luck.
