The itching has been going on for a while now and it's driving me crazy. I'm too my last resort and that is to go to the doctor's to get some help. It itches alot when I am in the shower. I know that I don't have lice because I've been to the beauty salon and I have everyone check my head. Any suggestions and I don't know what the doctor is going to check for. Is it below my scalp? Is it a fungus? Could it just be dry scalp? I'm going to try a conditioner to see if that will ease the relief. Sometimes I feel it's going to my ears and neck because they start to itch as well. Thanks
I have thick hair and use mouse/hair spray on my hair -- the itching is driving me crazy. How can I stop it?
I don't really have thick hair, I just have a lot of it. Sometimes I have the same issues. You could be using too much product, or it could be the climate right now. I've found that despite using Nexxus Therappe and Biolage conditioner, I have to use Head %26amp; Shoulders Dry Scalp Care shampoo a few times a week too. That's about the only thing that helps for me.
Good luck.

You are having an allergic reaction (sensitivity) wash it out m'dear!
Try using a chamomile rinse to ease that itching-- try to avoid whatever new hair products you might be using now.

Try Scalpicin shampoo. It is for itching. Then change your regular shampoo, conditioner, mouse, hair spray. Try to find a hypoallergenic one at the drug store.

You might just have a very dry scalp. Can you take some time off from using the mousse and hair spray? Wash your hair with a very mild shampoo and use a moisturizing conditioner. Put most of it on the ends, but rub a small amount into your scalp.
