How can i get my really curly poofy thick hair either nice curls, or to STAY straight for a long tim

its really thick and poofy and curly

and looks dry

its gross when its curly,

but if you could give tips on making it nice curly,

or getting it to STAY straight

it would be grreatly appreciated. =)

i have natural curls also and i use a moose called 3 in 1 by clairol. You can find it at wal-greens for under $3. (White can with purple lettering.) And lots of hairspray after putting the moose in. I use a difusser on my hair dryer. I hold my head upside down while drying it to have volumizing curls. Lots of product is the key to no frizz!! Good luck!!

use sunsilk anti-frizz or anti poof products. they really work. i would reccommend you use anti frizz though, since you want curls.

hi i have extemley poofy and curly hair...i have no idea how to keep my curls looking nice so i just straighten it. i section my hair in layout blow dry out on high and hot and then straighten in layout it takes about and hr. and i use frizzies hair syrum to look shiny and get frizz from sticking up. it keeps straight for me for about a week. and it u go over it with a straightener about every other day quickly it stays super straight. heres a pic. with the hair straight:
