How do you make a messy bun if you have thick hair?
there are 2 ways to bun hair.
1. put it in a ponytail first. then wrap the reat of the hair around that and either stick the end back in to the tie ..or use a 2nd tie to secure a tighter bun
2. gather your hair up as if going to put it in a tail but instead wrap it around once your pointy finger. Pull out your finger and continue to wrap the hair around its self.
Dry hair makes for a looser bun. Wet hair makes for a tighter bun...like in the shower wet.

I do a bun by putting my hair in a pony tail then twisting the ponytail so it looks almost upside-down then i wrap the elastic again to make it a half-pony with the loose hair on top of my head. If hair falls out then let it thats why it's called a messy bun. Report It

How do you make a messy bun if you have thick hair?
i do it with my hair and i have thick curly hair. its really easy. all you do is like wrap ur hair once around your hair ty like a pony tail but instead of making it all tight and stuff just twist it and put it around ur risk then grab ur ponytail and twist it into a bun and take you hair tie and wrap it around ur hair like a ponytail kinda but to tyhe bun. its much easier with wet hair. good luck with that. this kinda seems confusing but i dont know any other way to put it..
oh and it doesnt really matter what typ of hair tie u use. i just prefer the medium sized ones that dont have the metal on it..
How do you make a messy bun if you have thick hair?
oh yeah! messy buns look better on thick hair. thats ho min is. i just make a really loose normal bun first. then i flip it up and scrunch it together in one hand and put another pony tail holder over with the other hand. pull a few strands out rite by your ears and rite in the front. its really all about scrunchin up your hair and puttin a tie over it. really siple. good luck! hope i wasnt too confusing.

i had the same problem and just put up your hair half way on making a ponytail. then, take all the left over ends of your hair that are sticking out and move them all around so the ends are sticking out on all sides. and since you have thick hair like me, u need clips to secure the weight of your hair and the height at which you want it. people with thin hiar don't need clips (lucky them) but hide your clips between your hair so they aren't visible. or u could!

wel of course you'll have to straighten your hair otherwise ur bun wont look right. first wash it regularly then apply a leave in conditioner such as infusium 23 while it is still wet then take a brush n blow dry it through with the brush. if ur hair is still 2 thick flat iron it and take ur time it may take awhile. by now i guaruntee it wil b 10 times easier to make a messy bun
