No shampoo on the market will "tame" you hair as you put it. It would be a good idea, to go to a salon %26amp; have your hair thinned out a bit, so the bulk will be eliminated. Having the bulk eliminated, will get rid of the "puffiness" after shampooing. I like to use Pantene shampoo/condtioner all-in-one. Iam allergic to many of the professional hair products, so for myself, I use Pantene products. It does a great job keeping the hair in good condition, %26amp; the spray in/leave in conditoner is great to use after shampooing. Comb it through to your ends twice with a wide toothed comb, blot it a little, then let your hair dry naturally. Don't comb it or brush it until it's dry.

go to a slaon and get layers, or get it thinned, it'll make it less puffy,
when you dry your hair, use a setting lotion, and use a brush and dryer and blow it downwards,
it'll push the cuticle down, and staighten and tame it.
