I have thick hair...and i need someone to tell me an easy way to straighten my hair!!!?

i had the same problem and now my hair is WONDERFUL! First try getting long layers when your hair is at least 3 or so inches below your shoulders. thick hair gets super poofy when its short =/

Make sure you use lots of conditioner when you wash.

Put an anti-frizz spray in your hair before straightening (and make sure your hair is dry!!)

Brush your hair and then seperate it into sections (not tiny but not huge. just a clump of hair) and tie them off with hair ties. Then just straighten them one by one, taking your time. The straightening should only take 30 minutes (it sounds like alot but its a miracle for us with thick hair!) . lather some moose into your hands and then apply from root to tip ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT THOUGH! you dont want greesy hair!

Hope this helps!

I'm a haridresser. If you use a flat iron to straighten your hair, use some kind of thermal spray to protect your hair. Using nothing at all can cause damage to the hair. I would recomend either Nexxus Canopy or Matrix Sleek.Look Iron Smoother (used both). Both of those you spray on the hair. Report It

Take a shower and then blow dry it.

Once its completely dry straighten it,

Then use a little hairspray at the ends.

Use the hairdryer on it for about two minutes.

Then restraighten anything that isnt straight.

blow dry it really good..

invest in a good flat iron..it may be a little more money than you would like to spend but trust me it's so worth it...

and part your hair horizontally into thing layers, clip the different sections up..start at the bottom and straighten one layer at a time...don't just drag the flat iron thru your hair either go a little slower..but not so slow that you'll burn your hair..and make sure you use a comb..

its also important to use some type of product to protect your hair from the flatiron..

hey,are you planning to straighten your hair yourself?in my opinion that would be pretty risky and challenging if you are inexperienced.this is quite a new method of hair straightening-its called rebonding.it takes about 6 hours in the salon and another 3 days of keeping your hair sweat and dirt free without washing it.if you have the patience go for it!!i recommend it!!it is carried out in three steps

1.a chemical is applied that breaks the existing bond between the hair cells(it is this bond that gives your hair the structure-curly,wavy etc.)

2.then the stylist will straighten your hair with a hair iron.

3.after which your stylist will apply a rebonding chemical(this makes sure that the cells bond in such a manner that your hair is straight)

4.voila!!your hair is straightened

the above mentioned method is permanent unless your hair falls gradually and new hairs grow in their place.if you want something temporary then go for simple hair ironing.all the best!!!!!!!!!
