i have tried scrunching and curling and the only thing i can do is straighten it . and i need new hair styles but my hair is to thick to stay !

HIghlite it ... get a perm...get medium length layers... have fun , my hair is wavy and poofy I wish it was naturally straight. Don't get it thinned ... I had my hair thinned and it went poofy and frizzy and thick hair is great.

Anyways, you can ask your hairstylist to "thin is out" which will make it thinner and more maintainable.

ugh. welcome to the club. ive been trying for the longest time to find a different way to style it. i still have no luck. straightening it is the only thing that seems to work. but by the end of the day its wavy again. the thing i use that seems to work the best so far is getting it thinned out *very cheap* and then using anti-poof shampoo. the shampoo doesnt work very well but it helps a little.

ah yes, i no what that's like, first u need to find a really good shampoo and conditioner, well, garnier works well, like the moisture works or sleek and shine, but the main thing is to get the styling products to use after u wash ur hair, the best one that i use is garnier and it's sleek and shine in a lil tiny bottle with what looks sorta like water, it smells good too!

anyways, a style that i like to use since my hair is so frizzy, curly, and thick is to pull 1/2 of it up in a cute lil clip and so ur hair doesn't appear that thick

a good substitute to hairspray (which u should use) is sugar water! just mix 1/3 sugar 2/3 water, mix it up, put it in a spray bottle and spritz it on ur hair after u style it to hold the style!

I have very thick hair too..

At the beginning I used to straighten it a lot.. It framed my round face making it actually look like a tv box..

I actually solved it when I had a digital perm..

but the difference was, first my hairstylist 'thinned' it, then he started curling at the level beneath my ears so I won't look like a mammoth. I requested large curls so they would hang naturally instead of tight curls which look 'hard'..

i had a japanese digital perm.. it's very soft-looking..

I left my hair to grow naturally, and now my hair has grown back to the original volume, big and thick, but with the curls I look sweet. I dyed my hair chocolatey-brown, curls are more defined.

It takes a bit more work to maintain it though, I used osis volume cream and scrunch it on damp hair and never used a comb on them so they won't frizz.. but the effort is worth it.
