Its probably not what you want to hear but if it was me i would keep my thick hair and just let it grow naturally. Then find a gorgeous cut thats textured and plays on its fullness to accentuate it rather than fight it.

Well depending on if this is the condition of your hair in it's natural state or if it is the direct result of some sort of hair trauma caused by heat/chemicals.



If this is virgin hair{meaning; never been permed, dyed or even blow dryed .} then, chances of really keeping you hair straight after showering are quite slim. The natual hair shaft itself is cruled and this will remain untill the hair becomes old. Old and fall out or old and turn gray.
